According to SANDF statement: On 11th of November 2025, under the blue skies in the City of Potchefstroom.
The South African Army Intelligence Formation hosted the Scouts Remembrance Parade at 1 Tactical Intelligence Regiment.
The Parade was to show token of appreciation to the Intelligence members who are no more while serving this great Nation.
This year’s Parates is under the theme REMEMBRANCE which is also known as the Poppy parade is a Parade conducted annually on the 11th day of the 11th Month at the 11th hour in Remembrance of soldiers who sacrificed their lives.
This parates the organisation will bring flowers which are going to be used as remembrance flowers because these flowers grew in the field where Soldiers died during World War 1.
This day is one of the important day across the SANDF (11 November) and has gone down into the International calendar as a day of remembrance from 1920.
It is special day to always respect and honour to those who gave up their lives for a just cause and the liberation of mankind, their heroic deeds will remain in each and every one of them will be remembered for their part they played, as a guiding spirit and total power.
Members of the South African National Defence Force, The SA Army Intelligence Formation and all Military Veterans Organisation pledged the day in memory of all South African men and women who died in combat, military exercise, natural calamities and military related accidents.
The guard of honour will be parated as they show their respect with precision and held their head high as a gesture of honour towards the fallen Scouts of the South African Army Intelligence Corps.
Chaplain (Dr) V.E. Mtshayise conducted the scripture reading and prayer. He furthermore invited the Guard of Honor and spectators to observe the two minutes moment of silence.
Upon completion, the Last Post was sound was played to indicate the soldiers that has gone to their final resting place.
Lest we forget, they shall not grow old, as we that are grow old. Age shall not weary them nor do the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we shall remember them.
