South Africa is way back in terms of development of learners from pre-school up to the Tertiary levels.
Many learners are not comfortable to read in public and some still needs the development in terms of moving with technology.
Earlier on today Department of Basic Education have revealed their plans on how help the areas that doesn’t have access to technology.
Here is the statement released by Department of Basic Education:
The Matric Support Programme, led by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mimmy Gondwe, continues to empower learners by bringing government services closer to communities, particularly those in remote areas.
Through this initiative, Grade 12 learners are provided with valuable information about study opportunities, available funding, and pathways within the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) sector.
The programme creates a platform where learners can engage directly with stakeholders and explore the many opportunities available to them after matric.
By equipping learners with the right information and guidance, the programme aims to empower young people to make informed decisions about their education and future careers, opening doors to further learning, skills development, and employment opportunities.
