The Deputy Minister of Police, Mr Cassel Mathale (MP) is leading the South African Police Service (SAPS) delegation on a high-level bilateral engagement with the Vietnam Vice Minister Nguyen Van Long today, 21 May 2026 at the #SAPS Tshwane Academy Boardroom in Pretoria.
DM Mathale on behalf of SAPS, together with SAPS Senior Managers from various sections welcomed the opportunity to participate in this high-level engagement.
Which enabled the exchange of operational insights, assessment of emerging crime trends, and the adoption of best practices that will support South Africa’s ongoing policing modernisation.
SAPS reaffirms its dedication to leveraging these global insights to strengthen national safety, elevate professional policing standards, and contribute to a safer and more secure region in line with international law enforcement priorities.
