Former Kaizer Chiefs co-coah has been appointed by another PSL Club

Former Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cédric Kaze has officially signed a contract to become the new head coach of Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United.

The Burundian tactician has put pen to paper on an initial one-year deal, with an option to extend for a further two seasons.

The transition marks an exciting development for Babina Noko as they build for the upcoming season, bringing in a highly-rated coach familiar with the South African league.

Last season Sekhukhune United started the season on fire under Eric Tinkler who was later kicked out.

For the past three seasons Babina Noko managed to finish their seasons inside top 4 of South African Betway Premiership.

Cédric Kaze has signed a one-year contract with Sekhukhune United FC, which includes an option to extend for a further two seasons.

As the Burundian tactician takes over the reigns ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season, the club’s specific assignments for his backroom staff remain a fluid development.

However, the existing structural framework of the technical team features the following established figures at the club:

Andre Arendse: Served as assistant coach under the preceding regime. Paulus Masehe: Maintained a role as an assistant coach within the technical setup. Kaitano Tembo: Occupied the role of Senior Coach within the club’s overarching structure.

Nascent Nkhwashu: Handled the position of Goalkeeper Coach. McDonald Makhubedu: Serves as the club’s Sporting Director overseeing football operations.

The club will finalize whether Kaze integrates his own preferred technical staff members or works entirely with the resident assistants as the preseason gets underway.
