A Multidisciplinary High-Impact Blitz Inspection is a coordinated government operation in South Africa led by the Department of Employment and Labour (DEL), alongside agencies like Home Affairs, SAPS, and local municipalities.
These surprise inspections target high-risk sectors (construction, hospitality, agriculture, retail) to enforce compliance with South African laws and address undocumented labor.
These blitzes assess workplace compliance across multiple legal frameworks:
Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA): Ensures employers provide a safe and healthy working environment.

Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA): Tests adherence to fair working hours, leave, and employment contracts.
National Minimum Wage Act (NMWA): Verifies that all employees are paid the legally mandated minimum rate.
Immigration Act: Conducted with the Department of Home Affairs to verify legal work permits and root out undocumented foreign nationals.
UIF & COIDA: Checks that employers are registered and making necessary contributions for unemployment and workplace injuries.
NB: Inspectors have the authority to issue immediate compliance orders, halt dangerous work, impose heavy fines, and make arrests for immigration or severe labor violations.
Employers are required to maintain strict(follow the rules and laws), up-to-date documentation on-site at all times.
NOTE: All of this happens after the Citizens stand up and demanding foreigners to be out of the country.
All along the different companies include the huge companies such as checkers60 and mlothers have been hiring illegal immigrants as their workers.
