Deputy Minister of Police has informed his troops to not messed up the rules during the duty

According to SAPS statement: The Deputy Minister of Police Mr Cassell Mathale, together with National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, General Fannie Masemola, Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, Tshwane MMC for Community Safety Alderman Hannes Coetzee, TMPD Chief, Commissioner Yolanda Faro and Senior Managers from the South African Police Service, Gauteng Traffic Police, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni Metro Police Departments, Community Police Forum Representatives and other diginitories ascended to Pretoria in Tshwane where they handed over 162 new cars to the police in Gauteng.

In his speech, the Deputy Minister emphasised that the new cars will assist in combating crime and ensuring that the community of Gauteng is safe this festive season and beyond.

According to the intruction: the police (were tip to be vigilant when perform task) were told that they should handle the cars with care, as if they own them(don’t undermine the drivers).

He talked against the abuse and misuse of the state resources, including the cars. “Here are your tools of trade use them responsibly to serve the community.

They are not enough but they will contribute immensely to what we already have,” said Mr Mathale.

The cars handed over include high powered cars like BMWs, bakkies and sedans, some of which will be dedicated to specifically deal with the scourge of gender based violence and femicide.
