The MEC for Public Works and Infrastructure in Limpopo, Ernest Rachoene, accompanied by the Mopani District Executive Mayor, Cllr Pule Shayi.
As well as Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality Mayor, Cllr Merriam Malatji, today conducted an assessment of roads damaged by recent flooding.
The following roads and bridges were inspected:The road linking to Maphutha L Hospital through town D4424:
Majeje Bridge, R71 Bridge, D4424: Lulekani Entrance, D3264: Seliloque ,Selati Bridge (R40 road) ,
Makhushane Bridge (D3790) and D3794: Mashishimale.MEC Rachoene indicated that the reconstruction of the bridges and road repairs will commence shortly.
Rachoene said “We are not only focusing on provincial roads but municipal ones as well… all the damaged roads mentioned will be attended to.”
