Ass the country experience the high number of different crime activities, the South African Police Service are doing their best to stop it.
Last year alone during the December festival season, SAPS managed to apprehended many criminals.
Early on today the South African Police Service have announced yet again successful operation where four suspects were arrested.
Here is the statement released by South African Police Service:
TrioCrimes Police in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, swiftly arrested four suspects for housebreaking and confiscated a firearm and stolen goods worth to the value of about R210 000 on 07 January 2026 shortly after 13:30.
It is alleged that a group of four or more male suspects entered a house in Game Park Road, Theescombe at about 13:30 and at gun point demanded cash and valuables.
In the house was a 45-year-old female victim who was tied up together with her two minor sons, the suspects then left the house with cash, jewellery and three cell phones. They fled the scene when the victim’s husband arrived by his vehicle at the house.
SAPS Kabega Park members quickly responded to the house robbery and spotted the group running through the property of the adjacent game park and arrested them.
On investigation, they recovered an unlicensed firearm (revolver) in the possession of one of the suspects (aged 59) and will be sent for further forensic and ballistic analysis.
Stolen goods to the value of about R210 00 was also confiscated and is in the process of being handed back to the complainant.
Cases of house robbery and illegal possession of an unlicensed firearm were opened, and investigation by SAPS Kabega Park is underway.
The four suspects (aged between 33 and 59) will be appearing before the Gqeberha Magistrates Court on Friday, 09 January 2026.
