South Africa has become the area of violence amongst the families and friends as well as pupils.
In the past years the country has recorded the high number of Gender based violence and killings.
A growing number of such incidents has left some brutal scars and heart broken among the families and children’s.
Even other churches have taken stand against this cruelity and have urged the partners and children to respect each other at home.
Earlier on today Department of Social Development have confirmed that some man in their department have taken firm stand against GBVF.
Here is the statement released by Department:
#OrangeDayMen of the Department of Social Development are standing up and speaking out against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide.
By wearing orange and sharing their messages of support, they reaffirm that ending GBVF is not only a women’s issue, it is a societal responsibility.
Orange Day, commemorated on the 25th of every month, calls for collective action to prevent violence against women and children.
As DSD, we continue to promote positive masculinity, accountability, and zero tolerance for abuse in our homes, workplaces and communities.
