Sprint sensation Gout Gout managed to broke some 200m records as he continues to take the athletics world by storm.
During his participation at All Schools Queensland title at the weekend, he managed to set another new record of 20.29 seconds.
Gouta becomes more popular in August this year after he won silver medal on recorded time of 20.60 seconds at U20 World Championships.
During Asian Bolt’s era, when he(Bolt) was 16 he managed to finish the race on a recorded time of 20.13 seconds.
In June this year the 16 year old, became U18 Oceania champion and went on to set another new record at Queensland.
Gout won the All Schools Queensland championship with an impressive 20.52 seconds in the final but fell just short of replicating his earlier time.
His previous run of 20.29 seconds in the heats not only set the Queensland Open 200m record but both the Australian and Oceanic U18 and U20 records.
His record made him one of the best Australian athletes and he was close to broke the record that was set by Peter Norman, which has not broken since 1968.
Gout’s run out in Queensland saw him surpass the Australian U20 record of 20.41 seconds and makes him the fourth-fastest U18 200m sprinter of all time.
Last year, the youngster broke the Australian U18 200m record for the first time, aged 15. Gout, who also won the All Schools Queensland 100m final with a time of 10.31 seconds, has begun to attract worldwide attention.
In October, the teenager managed to secure himself a first sponsorship deal with a huge brand globally Adidas.
