Arsenal star revealed his relationship with former club striker

The former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry became clubs legend after helping the North London side to won many trophies during his playing time.

Since he left the side back in 2007, Arsenal failed to replace or get any goalpoacher/striker with his(Henry) character.

The three lions winger Buyako Saka is been tipped as the next club’s legend as he in a hot form in this year’s edition(EPL).

Even though the tricky winger didn’t won single silverware into his name, Arsenal fans still believes that he can become legend.

Saka knows very well that for him to become greatest amongst best players players who have played for the club, he must put more effort to achieve that.

Saka emphasized that he is willing to learn from those who have been there before him and he also noted that he want to apply one or two things from his game that he has learned from Henry.

He said “The main thing I learned from him is the confidence, When you see the way he plays, the fear he strikes into defenders is already enough.

“I tried to take that from him. I’ve tried to play with more confidence, that belief that you’re almost unplayable.”

Saka took his game into another stage this season as he managed 12 games across all competitions so far this season, Saka has four goals and seven assists, all of the latter coming in the Premier League.

Saka went on to highlight that everyone at Emirates Stadium knew about the clubs icon and noted that Henry has been playing a key role into his football development.

He said “The first interaction we had was when I was in the academy. From 14-15, he came and was doing his coaching badges.

“Obviously we all knew about him and even though he’d retired he still had the same quality. We did finishing with him, he was better than all of us!

“Since then, he’s reached out to me and he’s always there for me. Whatever I need to say to him, whatever he wants to say to me, I’m open.

“In difficult moments he’s always open. He says ‘I’m always free if you want to speak to me’. There are times when I can call him and get good advice.

“He’s done what I want to achieve, winning titles with Arsenal. I’m really grateful to have that relationship with him. He’s a top guy.”

Henry went on to emphasize that Saka have what it takes to become top notch player for Arsenal side.

He said “He’s just so focused on football, It’s similar to me. We try not to think about the other things.

“When we were growing up, I aspired to be a footballer. I aspired to be a great player at Arsenal. The rest of it, off the pitch, it wasn’t part of the dream.

“Of course when you’re here it comes with it but I’m just keeping that focus, having football as the main priority, and staying grounded.”
