Most of the miners across the world have been over looked by the government in the past due to different reasons.
Some of the former Miners have not paid their UIF funds to this point and some have not taken care of after being unable to work there(mines).
One of the issues that miners have been encountered is Tuberculosis(TB) as it still continues to be the main issue even to this point.
But the Department of Employment and Labour in South Africa has taken steps forward to resolve the issue of the former miners.

The Department of Employment and Labour together with the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), in partnership with the Eastern Cape Provincial Government, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality and other stakeholders, is currently hosting a Service Delivery Outreach Event for Ex-Mineworkers in Bizana, Eastern Cape.Officials are on site assisting former mineworkers with services and information.#Yazini #ServicedeliveryZA #GovZAUpdates #HeritageMonth
NB: Hopes the challenges all the miners here in South Africa will be resolved as soon as possible such as small salaries.
Hope the miners will not experience the same situation that Marikina miners passed through when they were killed by police for demanding the salary increase.
