South African electricity and Energy have managed to make some further progress to maintain the power supply.
Even though they are some areas that don’t have electricity, eskom managed to ensure that the citizens don’t stay in darkness.
Earlier on today, the Minister of Energy and Electricity Dr Ramokgopa announced that they are new bidder to take control.
Here is the statement released by Minister:
The Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, announces preferred pre-qualified bidders under the first phase of the Independent Transmission Projects (ITP) Procurement Programme, as well as additional preferred bidders under Bid Window 7 of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP), during a media briefing.
NB: Most of the places/area that are experiencing the shortage of electricity is due to the caple theft.
