Phalaborwa Local Municipality urged citizens to store water into containers after new renewal of pipes

As country keeps on experiencing the lack of water supply within their communities, some Municipality are trying their best to supply water to their residence.

Many Municipality in South Africa are in total of dispora as they completely fail to do service delivery to people.

Ba-Phalaborwa earlier on today they reassured their citizens that water shortage will just be temporarily as they fix damaged pipes.

Here is the statement released by Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality:

Lepelle Northern Water has informed the Municipality that the Phalaborwa Water Treatment Plant has been shut down since last night due to uncontrolled upstream flows on the Olifants River, as a results current flood conditions, which has an impact on the barrage.

The barrage gates were opened immediately to manage the flow. This has affected raw water quality, forcing the plant to stop operations.

Residents are urged to use available water sparingly while the situation is being monitored. All areas supplied by the plant are affected.Further updates will follow.
