Limpopo Department of Social Development and Agriculture and Rural Development set table Budget for 2026/2027

Limpopo like any other provinces endures the difficulties such as unemployment amongst the other issues in the province.

Department of Social Development and Agriculture and Rural Development has announced the date where they will announce their budget.

Under the budget they are other factors/priorities that must be overlooked thoroughly.

On the upcoming budget the key sectors that will be looked with attentively eye are: Education, LEDET(Economic Development, Environmental and Tourism) amongst others.

The event is set take place on 14th May 2026 at at Lebowakgomo and will be led by MEC Ms Florence Radzilani.

Here is how the budget will be allocated across the Limpopo’s key sectors:

Based on 2026/27 budget schedules, the Limpopo Legislature is processing department budget votes in early May. Key 2026/27 allocations include a R45.821 billion Education budget (Vote 3/4) focused on infrastructure and nutrition, and a LEDET (Vote 6/14) budget focused on tourism and green economy, with preliminary tabled figures indicating a total provincial adjustment to R90.499 billion.

Key 2026/27 Budget Votes & Highlights (Limpopo):

Education (Vote 3/4): Delivered by MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya on 5 May 2026, with R45.821 billion focusing on infrastructure, curriculum, and nutrition.

LEDET (Economic Development, Environment & Tourism – Vote 6/14): Scheduled to be tabled around 7 May 2026 by MEC Tshitereke Matibe, focusing on tourism, environmental compliance, and SMME support.

Premier’s Office (Vote 1): R653.531m aimed at clean governance, R136m for youth skills, and a new R60m Sustainable Livelihoods Fund.

Finance (Vote 5): Tabled by MEC Kgabo Mahoai on 5 May 2026, focusing on provincial fiscal discipline.
