Limpopo’s Department of Transport confirmed the impounded 20 vehicle between two roads[R71 and D4040]

Law Enforcement Operation Yields Results: 20 Vehicles Impounded for Transporting Learners Illegally.

The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety has impounded 20 vehicles, including 13 minibuses, 2 midi buses, 3 light delivery vehicles, and 2 seven-seaters, for transporting learners for reward without permits on the R71 and D4040 Molepo turn-off near Boyne.

These vehicles were found to be operating illegally(not road worthy), putting the lives of learners at risk.

One minibus was identified as a cross-border malayisha attempting to evade authorities(duck/avoid the officer’s).

“We urge parents to take responsibility for their children’s safety and ensure they use authorized and safe transport to schools,” says the Department.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts to enforce transport regulations and protect learners.

Parents are encouraged to report any concerns about learner transportation to the relevant authorities.
