The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) warmly invites the people of South Africa to Thohoyandou, Limpopo, on 21 February 2026, as we commemorate Armed Forces Day.
Held in the historic capital of Venda; the “Head of the Elephant”; this day is a solemn tribute to the heroes of the SS Mendi and all who have fallen in the line of duty.
More than a spectacular display of military precision and hardware, this celebration is a living renewal of our sacred vow to SERVE; to defend the territorial integrity of our Republic, to safeguard our borders, and to stand as a shield for every citizen.

NB: The currently country is faced with different crime activities that needs the SANDF intervation to stop it.
Every day there is shooting incident that occurred within the community just like what illegal miners are doing in Gauteng.
More than 600 families have chased away from their homes by illegal miners whom take their (Community members belongings).
Note: They are illegal immigrants whom are roaming the streets of the country and some of them committe serious crimes without being traced.
E.G: Zimbabwean national foreign Moyo who killed two South African Police officers, he is yet to be traced till date.
