According to SAPS statement: Public Order Policing Unit Bloemfontein operators continue to execute various operational concepts as part of #OperationShanela II.
The team acted on a #TipOff from members of the community and conducted a search at the identified address in F-Section Botshabelo.
The police found a 9mm( Piston) calibre Black pistol, a magazine, and eight live ammunition rounds.
The 50-year-old male who was found in possession of the firearm and ammunition did not have a valid firearm license and was immediately placed under arrest.
Further police actions were carried out in Batho policing precinct where, once again, operators received information from the public about the address where suspicious stolen property was kept.
The team reacted swiftly and pounced on three males aged 24, 26, and 30 in Lusaka Square. The stolen items worth R14 660-00 were recovered by the police.
A case docket for possession of presumably stolen property was opened at Batho Police Station. All suspects will appear before Court soon.
