The MEC for the Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements & Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA), Mr Basikopo Makamu will, on Friday (10 April 2026), officiate over the inauguration of Kgoshi Gaborone Brains Seleka of Seleka Traditional Council within the Lephalale Local Municipality.
Kgoshi Gaborone is officially taking over the reins, following the passing of his father, Kgoshi Phetogo David Seleka in 2021.
Governing 27 villages, Kgosi Gaborone Brains Seleka continues to represent a new generation of traditional leadership that balances cultural heritage with progressive development.
Under the guidance of Queen Mother, Mma Mmarona Seleka, his leadership is defined by service, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to the dignity, unity, and advancement of his people.
