Polokwane Municipality is on the process of conclude the 2026/27 Draft IDP/Budget consultation has moved with deliberate stride and democratic intent like a river gathering strength as it winds through the landscape of our communities.
It commenced in earnest with our traditional leaders earlier this month, anchoring the process in heritage, wisdom, and custodianship of the land.
From there, it flowed seamlessly through the seven municipal clusters and the Spatial Development Area (SDA 1), ensuring that no voice was left at the margins and no ward was treated as an afterthought.
Each engagement became a living conversation, sometimes robust, often reflective but always anchored in the shared aspiration of building a functional, inclusive and responsive municipality.
Today, Tuesday, 21 April 2025, the journey reaches its culmination at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, where all municipal councillors gather to consolidate inputs, refine priorities and bring collective political stewardship to the forefront of planning.
Indeed, the circle is closing where public trust is translated into actionable commitments.
As the saying goes, “a journey of a thousand miles is completed not by intention alone, but by the discipline of each deliberate step.”
In this spirit, Polokwane continues to chart its course guided by consultation, strengthened by participation and driven by a shared vision of progress that leaves no community behind.
